Hi n_khoo

I’ve checked out Giza Mall and it is quite far for me.    I saw that there is a discount for referral of new students.    I’ll let them know your name should I decide to sign up my DD in Musikhaus.    Is it ok with you?    Out of curiosity,    where is your kid’s kindy?    Thanks again for sharing.

Hi CP,

Previous Kindy, not so good to mention name, but I've tried 2 biggest kindies in Mutiara as well as TTDI. The only thing I would say is that more children less attention and foundation years are important. It really depends on whether you are looking for school facilities or education. No school fits all.

You just let them know that I am "Chi Chi"s mummy.

Hope you find one for your DD soon.

Hi n_khoo

Thanks for the feedback.    I think I’ll relook into Musikhaus.    If you are the one who takes your children to the cl*ss, what do you do while waiting for their cl*sses to finish?    I’m looking for ideas on what I can do besides shopping if I were to send my DD to Musikhaus for such a short cl*ss for 5 days a week eventually.    Thanks.

actually, when I first started, I had to accompany my kid in the cl*ssroom coz not ready to be left alone. THe teacher would advise you to not pay attention to your child in cl*ss coz they are supposed to bond with the teacher, so I brought my lap top as they have free WIFI.The transition to leave the child took a while and later I could leave the school, catch breakfast and do some banking and marketing. If you have a maid you can drop your maid off instead of coming personally.

Hi n_khoo

I’ve looked at Musikhaus before. I like their concept very much (particular the 3 languages and music) and wanted to start my DD last year in Bubble cl*ss before progressing to the pre-school.    But I changed my mind as the pre-school is only for 2 hours per day for < 4 year old.    Considering the travelling time and traffic jam, I probably have to stick around the school or go shopping and pick her up after cl*ss, which I think can be a waste of time if I were to do it 3 times a week.

Ideally, I think the cl*ss should be for 3 hours per cl*ss (given that the fee isn’t cheap) with an option for a, say, 2-hour extended program which my DD might like when she settles down subsequently.    This will give me some time to run some errands and get some housework/cooking done.

Is your child(ren) in Musikhaus preschool?    What do you think of it?

HiCP,
Have started with them for 2 kids from infant level under their enrichment program.I think it was really good.My eldest joined their playschool and I stopped for a while when I switched him to a bigger kindy. Later I saw hugh difference in learning, thinking and character, coz although attending 5 days weeks in another kindy, the "play/activity time" on their own was long, interactiveness was less and so thinking was less. Whereas in Musikhaus playschool, they think and answer a lot of questions and music does help with the brain and expressiveness. So I rejoin Musikhaus pre-school and younger one in playschool. For playschool, their teaching is really intensive and teacher's interactivity is high, that's why it is only 2 hours.Newbies cannot take 3 hours for whole brain program even my youngest was losing concentration towards 2nd half as the program is very stimulating. As I know, they allow you to transit to 5-days once your child is ready.Since they will be moving to Giza Mall in Jun it would be more convenient for parents do banking and errands. And they will be giving out VIP privileges for parents who sign up now under Mutiara Damansara.

I’m looking for a playschool in PJ/Damansara area for my soon-to-be 2.5 year old DD where English is the primary language used and Mandarin is used in a substantial portion of the time (eg 2 out of 5 days per week or 45-60 min per day when Mandarin is used).    If BM is used too, it will be a bonus.    My aim is for her to be exposed to different languages, play and socialize with other children her age.    Hence, it does not need to be academic.

If you know any, I would appreciate it if you could provide me with the contact/website and hopefully your comments on it.    Thank you in advance.

Hi, Musikhaus has bi-lingual playschool for 2+ but only 3 days with one day mandarin. They take in ages 3+ for 5-day week and it sounds like a perfect match, 3 languages with at least 1 full day for mandarin and 1 full day for BM. www.musikhaus.com.my, currently in Mutiara Damansara, moving to Sunway Giza Mall, Kota Damansara mid year.

Hi junensj

Thanks for the reply.    I’ve checked out the website and the place looks pretty good.    But it is a bit far for me.    I’ll keep it in mind in case I can’t find any place nearer.    Thanks again.
